The great message of generosity by Charles Dickens is portrayed beautifully in the dark fantasy drama “A Christmas Carol”. The title and story are taken from Dickens’ novel by the same name. The plot covers Ebenezer Scrooge, who doesn’t like Christmas and is a self-centered man. He refuses to help his workers and rejects his nephew’s invitation on Christmas Eve. He encounters Jacob Marley, his dead colleague that lives like a ghost. That night, Scrooge meets three ghosts, Christmas past, Christmas present, and Christmas future. He time travels with the ghosts where he sees his regretful past, cruel present, and miserable future. He sees how his selfish approach has ruined his entire life and relations with humans around him. The next morning when he wakes up, he is no longer the old Scrooge. He is now changed who is kind and looks up to his relations.

Ebenezer Scrooge’s clerk Bob Cratchit works at his place under pressure and doesn’t complain about his careless behavior with him. In Spite of his dutiful services at work, Scrooge doesn’t allow him to leave early for Christmas eve and poor Bob gets to work till late hours even on Christmas eve. Upon time traveling along with the Xmas ghosts, Scrooge is stunned by seeing Bob carrying his sick child and meanwhile serving Scrooge the feast.

The character is played tremendously by Joa Alwyn who is an English actor. We know him by the movies like Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, Harriet, The Favorite. He also produced Tylor Swift’s album of the year 2021 and won the Grammy Award for that.
